ABOUT ME
Melissa Carrillo, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Welcome! I'm Melissa, a mom of two beautiful children, and married to my husband who serves in the military. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Communication & Science Disorders from Texas Women's University. Gained two years of experienced as a speech pathologist assistant serving the pediatric population before pursuing my graduate education in speech pathology. In 2019, I graduated from Texas State University with my Master's degree in speech pathology. In 2020, I became a parent to my first baby, a wonderful girl born with a cleft palate. Her journey sparked my interest in feeding, as I aimed to provide her with the best care. My dedication to feeding therapy has inspired me to pursue extensive training, including the SOS Feeding Approach and SOFFI, as well as specialized coursework focused on medically fragile cases. Additionally, I have worked with children who have language delays, speech disorders, and use AAC. In my free time, I enjoy soaking up the sun at the beach, spending time with my family, sipping on my latte and traveling.
